From the days of the Roman Empire, Budapest’s reputation for thermal bathing was second to none. Naturally, therefore, in transforming a 19th Century palace building into Matild Palace, the inclusion of a beautiful spa was central to our plan. Ocean Spa echoes the simple forms of the old bath houses transposed into an elegant and luxurious sanctuary suited to modern therapies as well as to traditional Hungarian rituals.
