The W hotel in Costa Navarino has introduced a new type of luxury resort experience into Greece. Nestled into the historic Bay of Navarino and opening onto a sandy beach surrounded by indigenous plantings and trees, W Costa Navarino offers numerous hubs for socialising, connecting to nature and enjoying the legendary hospitality of the region. MKV was responsible for the interior design of the hotel, which includes a variety of guestrooms and villas, a spa and flexible public spaces that can adapt to the seasons, as well as the Platia. This brings a playful spin on the Greek marketplace with a collection of take-out as well as dine-in eateries. Throughout, the fusion of indoors and out and the traditional with the modern is combined with the almost exclusive use of local materials and craftmanship. The resulting aesthetic feels pure and genuine; it also speaks of the “free spirited” values enshrined in the W brand.
